The past few years we've been put through the ringer and with Date Night Sushi, Uri Allgood makes an intentional move to look inward, while also brewing a therapeutic remedy that flows through the dancefloor. On this project, he reflects on the fact that dance music doesn't always have to be happy or joyous, and oftentimes, the most cathartic tracks aren't. There was something euphoric for Uri in the act of digging deeper into the darker feelings he was having when making both tracks, with the hopes it can deliver that same type of euphoria for the listener either in your headphones or within the club walls.

The title track, ‘Date Night Sushi’ takes you to a place that feels familiar, yet continues to feel like experiencing love for the first time…flying like the butterflies felt inside. Sprinkled amongst bold, bouncing breaks are brilliantly placed pads and melodies. There’s an undeniable warmth that this one brings about, sizzling through until its end.

In ‘Quaranteen Spirit’, ambient electronica meets at the crossroads of piano laced acid and progressive transcendental beats for a track teeming with raw passion. Manipulated vocals swirl and pan over this introspective sound, seemingly spanning multiple genres and breaking loose from its friendly confines.

For Uri, it's about the vibe. It’s emotional. Instead of banging the dance floor with peak time tracks all night his tracks are grooving, like dark moods doused in glitter. His rhythms and low end hit you deep in the guts, and his melodies lift souls like the golden days of Paradise house. Uri's jams are like a time machine that takes you to the future and the past simultaneously, all while smacking of infectious personality. Are you ready to take the journey?
