Newcomers to the label but familiar faces nonetheless, OFTK and Ema Sakura team up for a bouncy-euphoric, acid infused stepper that seamlessly blends multiple styles into one beautiful blossoming track, aptly named Bloom. Both artists bring their own unique approaches to building this auditory art together and, in doing so, present a marvelous mixture of sounds that compliment each other tremendously.

Bloom stems from OFTK and Ema Sakura’s collection of bizarre vocal samples and a desire to create an acidic breakbeat track. Like a lotus flower, the track blossomed amidst a flood of countless titles and backstories — none of which make any sense. The end product reflects this flowering of sorts…

Ryan Valenzuela aka OFTK (One For The Kids) is a Los Angeles, CA based music producer & DJ whose musicality ranges anywhere from melodic deep and progressive, to house and techno, to Jersey bounce and breaks – taking inspiration from a multitude of artists including Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Spencer Brown, R3LL, Anna Lunoe, Sam Gellaitry, & the Soulection crew (to name a few). Behind the decks, OFTK’s open-format style and tasteful curation form sets that fluidly bends genres with the aim to move dance floors and engage listeners to be one with the music…because this music is one for the kids.

Ema Sakura is a music producer and classically trained musician from San Francisco, California. With a strong foundation as an upright bassist, Ema studied music at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, specializing in bass performance, and has performed professionally with various orchestras and ensembles throughout California. Since completing her studies in 2018, Ema has ventured beyond her classical roots, pursuing music production and DJing. Ema's compositions feature ethereal vocals, Japanese nostalgia, and dreamy atmospheres, as well as melodic and harmonic elements that pay homage to her classical background. Through her music, she invites listeners into her world of inspiration as she weaves a tapestry that juxtaposes darkness and beauty.

In a merging of darkness, light and every shade in between, the combined forces that are Ema Sakura and OFTK bring us a powerful statement piece that’s sure to just be the beginning of their journey in Bloom.
